OUTWARD BOUND European Staff Symposium

From November 10-13, the regional staff symposium of OUTWARD BOUND Europe with the motto “Crossing Borders” took place in and around our education center in Schwangau. The main focus was on cross-border exchange between the participants and learning from each other. In addition to numerous lectures and workshops, the participants were also able to gain a practical insight into the experiential education courses and activities on site during the pre-conference and thus take home many new inspirations. We would like to thank all participants, especially the numerous speakers and our guests from OUTWARD BOUND International and Peacebuilding who made this conference such a successful event.

We are hiring!

Demand for extracurricular educational opportunities remains high. Thus, we are currently more than ever looking for support in a wide variety of areas. Have a look at About us/Jobs to see if there is something for you.

OUTWARD BOUND Germany celebrates 70th anniversary

Last weekend we celebrated our 70th anniversary together with numerous guests from the OUTWARD BOUND family and politics. In addition to a colorful supporting program and various speeches, the informal exchange between the guests was not neglected. We would like to thank all the supporters who have stood by us over this long period of time and, especially after this challenging time for all of us, we are very happy to continue to support young people in their personal development with the help of experiential education. Here’s to the next 70 years!

Postcode Lottery funding project

Thank you to all participants in the Postcode Lottery funding project . Thanks to your support we were able to purchase 17.500€ worth of outdoor equipment for our location in the north! In this way, we enable children and young people to have great experiences in nature!

Decease of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh

We too would like to express our sadness at the news of the death of HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. Prince Philip was patron of the Outward Bound Trust in the United Kingdom from 1953 until his retirement in 2019, after 65 years of involvement with the charity. Over the decades, the Duke of Edinburgh extended his patronage to the growing Outward Bound movement that followed the founding of the first school in Aberdovey, Wales, in 1941. We send our sincere condolences to all members of the Royal Family. We will remember him fondly and thank him for his decades of dedication to our organization!

Partnership Leave No Trace

“Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints”

An important sentence that always accompanies us in our work in and with nature. We are committed to protecting and preserving this place and bringing it closer to others. This topic should also receive more attention outside of World Environment Day. For this reason we are proud to announce that we are an official partner of the Leave No Trace organization(Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics).
