Outward Bound Germany

Start your adventure

in the largest classroom in the world

Are you ready?

When was the last time you were really challenged?

  • Have you ever spent the night in the alpine wilderness and woken up to see the beautiful starry sky above you?
  • Can you imagine doing challenges together with your classmates that you can’t easily do on your own – for example, balancing over a tree trunk at a height of 10 meters?
  • Have you ever found your own way through alpine landscapes?
We want to create an exciting time with you and experience adventures!
    We will challenge you!

We want to give you the opportunity

  • New to experience
  • Assume responsibility
  • test your limits in many ways
  • Getting to know yourself and also your classmates in a new way
  • Develop yourself further and
  • to be proud of yourself!

In our program, doing something for each other is also part of it. Your duties will also be to wake you up, set tables, dry off, and take down your self-made trash – so this is just like your home. It is important to us that we can rely on you – not only for climbing, but also for showing up on time for breakfast or dinner.

After your time at OUTWARD BOUND, you will not only have memories of diverse and challenging experiences, but also personal experiences:

We use all of our actions as a medium to address issues such as:

  • Why is it important to honor agreements?
  • What happens to moods and trust when agreements are (not) kept?
  • Why is it advantageous to take responsibility, sometimes to put aside one’s own needs and to compromise?
  • What are the images of self and others in the class and how does the individual actually want to be seen?
  • How can the class shape togetherness in the future? What does it (not) take?

Self- & social competence

Our goal is to encourage the individual young person in his or her self-assessment, social competence and shared responsibility for the community and nature.
